Review of the ALG Open Bidding Grants Programme
Officers at the ALG are currently preparing a report for the ALG
Leaders' and Grants Committees focusing on how well the Open Bidding
grants made to voluntary organisations met the three overarching
objectives of ALG Grants. These are:

Increasing access to London's opportunities (particularly through
funding for projects promoting training and employment, regeneration,
educational, cultural and decision making opportunities, developing
outer London infrastructure and improving transport and the
environment)

Reducing social exclusion, poverty and disadvantage (particularly
through funding for projects working with children and young people
and people with multiple needs, providing legal and advice services,
promoting employment and decision making opportunities)

Promoting equality and reducing discrimination (particularly through
funding for projects providing services to people with disabilities,
black, minority ethnic and refugee communities, addressing violence
against women) (As agreed by Leaders and Grants Committees in June
2002)

As well as highlighting key outcomes and achievements of each funded
sector, the report aims to provide information about how well the ALG
funded voluntary sector has developed over the last four years. We
hope to illustrate the added value of our funding programme and our
networking and support activities.

We are therefore asking all organisations funded through the ALG's
Open Bidding grants programme to complete this short questionnaire and
return it to the ALG by no later than Friday 25 August 2006.

You may complete the questionnaire online and click on submit which
will automatically send it to the ALG.

Alternatively, you can download the questionnaire and, once completed,
e-mail it to: Open.Bidding at alg.gov.uk or post to: Morven McCallum,
ALG, 59½ Southwark Street, London SE1 0AL
