CIS'ters Training seminar: A natural response to trauma (Hampshire)

CIS'ters regularly hosts both conferences and training seminars,
designed to provide delegates with a greater understanding of issues
that impact on the lives of individuals who have experienced sexual
violence and abuse. Trauma readily explains the impact on the lives of
those affected. In recognition that trauma is not limited to such
experiences, it is intended that the training seminar will explore
trauma and response in a wider context.

Aims:
* To explore delegates understanding of trauma and the role that
dissociation plays in survival and how they both affect individuals
* To bring together specialist voluntary sector and statutory sector
services and others who provide support/work with trauma survivors and
victims to explore best practice issues
* This event assumes that delegates will have a basic understanding of
dissociation and how it affects individuals (for more information
contact the conference office).

Trainer(s):
* Norma Howes is an acknowledged trainer and trauma specialist. She
has been a regular presenter at conferences/seminars hosted by CIS'
ters, and is well respected for her ability to help understand the
issues surrounding trauma and its impact.
