Invitation to the 'Skills for Life' Focus Group: Voluntary and
Community Sector
Tuesday 16th January 2007
NCVO, Regent's Wharf, 8 All Saints Street, London N1 9RL

Cambridge Training and Development (CTAD) are working with NCVO to
research literacy, language and numeracy issues within the Voluntary
and Community Sector in London. This is a diverse sector with many
different needs and the NCVO are keen to get feedback from a wide
range of groups.

The report will look at the needs of both paid and unpaid workers
including management, project staff, support workers and volunteers.

The focus group will focus on questions such as what literacy,
language and numeracy skills are required for working effectively in
the voluntary and community sector, and where there are skills gaps
amongst sector workers.

The outcome of the research will be a report for the sector which will
be presented to the Central London LSC for consideration.
