Training On Child Trafficking Issues - ECPAT UK
21st November 2006
ECPAT UK has organised two training days on the issue of child
trafficking in the UK. These training days will bring different
agencies together to understand and respond to the issue of child
trafficking in the UK.
The training will explore following:
* Overview of trafficking of children in the UK and the global context
of child trafficking
* Identification of trafficked children in the UK
* Support needs of trafficked children and young people
* Legislative provisions available for trafficked children in the UK
* Multi agency and practical solutions to identification and
safeguarding of trafficked children
Target Audience:
* The training is for people that work with children/young people in
the statutory, voluntary and community sectors.
* It is particularly useful for those with a responsibility for child
protection or those that work with asylum seeking children.
* We would like to encourage individuals working in fields of
education and health to attend this training too.
