PRS Foundation - Live Connections - Closing Date 19th October

The PRS Foundation for New Music (PRSF) is the UK's largest
independent funder purely for new music of any genre.

Live Connections - This innovative scheme aims to support UK based
electronic and dance artists by offering an Award for a one-off live
performance of their work.

Those who can apply include: Individual artists/collaborators
supported by a promoter/organisation/club or sound system. (Self
promoted events are not eligible).

The selection panel looking for artists who are: writing innovative
electronic/dance music in any genre and want to perform live; able to
demonstrate how they would benefit from this opportunity.

Promoters/organisations/sound systems which have a track record and
the infrastructure to produce a successful live event for the artist.

Performances which:
* show inventiveness and imagination in staging the performance, for
example unusual venues, multimedia collaborations e.g VJs or a/v
effects;
* offer new opportunities for the artist(s);
* demonstrate that the event has the potential to generate new
audiences.

Your application should contain a clear plan for the event including:
a budget; marketing and promotion; expected audience figures.

Please note:
* The performance must take place any time in 2007;
* The performance can be part of an existing club night or a
stand-alone event;
* The performance can involve other electronic or live
musicians/performers if required but their fees must be included in
the total budget;
* Organistions acting as promoters in this application can still apply
to The PRS Foundation for one of their other schemes.
