Hanson Environment Fund closing last applications 16th October

The Hanson Environment Fund has awarded more than £16.25 million to
deserving projects since 1997, principally through landfill tax
credits generated by Hanson's UK waste management division.

Following the sale of this business in 2001 and a gradual wind-down of
funds available, the HEF's Main Grants and Small Grants schemes are to
close to new applicants on MONDAY 16th OCTOBER 2006.
