West Yorkshire Grants - deadline 31st October 2006

West Yorkshire Grants was established in 1986 to award grants to
voluntary (i.e. not-for-profit) organisations operating across West
Yorkshire. Funding is available for all types of voluntary activity -
arts, sport, recreation, education, environment and social/welfare.

Grants are only available to organisations and not to individuals.

Funds are awarded by the Grants to Voluntary Bodies Sub-Committee, a
Sub-Committee of the West Yorkshire Joint Services Committee.

Work undertaken by funded organisations includes drama, opera, dance,
sports and arts activities for people with disabilities, environmental
conservation and adult basic education.

To be eligible for grant aid, voluntary organisations must meet
certain initial Criteria.

Applications are invited from voluntary organisations on an annual
basis.

The closing date for funding in the 2007/08 financial year is 31
October 2006.

No further applications for 2006/07 can be accepted.
