Gender in Regeneration - Yorkshire and Humber and North East
Do you know what men and women really want?

If you work in a regeneration area, in the voluntary or public sector,
then Oxfam UK Poverty Programme's exciting new Gender and Regeneration
project could be for you.

When the Public Sector Gender Duty comes into force in April 2007,
everyone will be talking about gender - why not make sure you and your
organisation are at the forefront?

Explore how understanding the gendered needs of men and women can lead
to more effective, efficient and fair regeneration, look at how gender
interacts with other areas of diversity, develop skills and examples
of 'what works', and use your new skills in the communities where you
work.

What we ask from you.
. Attend the 3 day and 2 day sessions in full
. Commit to follow up work in your area
. Commit to 4 monthly follow up mentoring days
. Help sustain a network of passionate gender-aware workers
. Send 2 people per organisation
. Involve men as well as women - gender affects us all!

What you will get.
