Forward into Self Employment at 50 - a FREE course for women

This free course for women over 50 is being offered by London
Metropolitan University.

People are staying younger for longer and not everyone wants to
retire. Population forecasts show that the over 50s are likely to make
up a growing proportion of business start-ups. Evidence suggests that
the trend for more people over 50 to start a business will continue to
grow.

The Forward at 50 short course (FSE50) is a unique opportunity for
women 50+ who want to become self-employed, or start a small business,
and would like to participate in a business support learning group.
The course is part-funded by the European Social Fund and is open to
women 50+ in the Greater London area.

FSE50 offers personal development, business training and networking,
in a programme of 10 days spread over 20 weeks, which include topics
such as:
* Exploring Self employment
* Choosing Your Business Idea
* Assessing Your Strengths and Weaknesses
* Learning About Marketing
* Understanding the Important of Business Planning
* Negotiating Your Way in Business
* Managing Your Time Effectively
* Networking Creatively

The courses starts on 26th October 2006 and will run fortnightly on
Thursdays in Central London. There is no upper age limit.
