Toolkit for employers: Managing employees who are pregnant or new
parents
Online toolkit from the EOC which will help employers manage pregnant
women and parents in an open and constructive way.
It includes:
* Checklist for managing pregnant women and new mothers which
gives you a quick overview and to help you and your employees have
done what needs to be done.
* Checklist for managing adopting parents which tells you what
employees who are adopting parents are entitled to and what action you
need to take.
* Checklist for managing fathers-to-be and new fathers which tells
you what employees who are fathers-to-be or new fathers are entitled
to and what action you need to take.
* Checklist for managing same-sex partners which tells you what
employees who are in a same-sex partnership are entitled to by way of
parental or adoptive rights and what action you need to take.
* Calendar section which explains what an employer should do over
the key stages during pregnancy, maternity and returning to work.
* The topic list is an index of all the topics covered in the
toolkit
* Employment queries - As many of the rights referred to in this
toolkit apply only to employees, it is important for an employer to
establish the employment status of a member of staff. These pages
explain whether this likely to be an issue for you.
* Glossary of terms - explain the technical terms such as Ordinary
Maternity Leave and Statutory Maternity Pay.
