Camelot Foundation Transforming Lives - 11th May 2007

The Transforming Lives programme spends £1.5 million each year to
develop new approaches and creative ideas for re-connecting
marginalised young people to the mainstream of UK life.

Each round of this programmes focuses upon a different theme.

Their preferred (but not essential for this round) priority groups of
young people are:
* Young parents or those at particular risk of becoming young parents;
* Young exiles, newly arrived in the UK;
* Young people with mental health problems;
* Young disabled people.

The Camelot Foundation is working with Brook to deliver this round of
funding. Please read their guidelines carefully as some updates have
been made. Also there are some differences between the criteria for
this particular round with regards to our priority groups.

If your application is incomplete, or your organisation does not meet
our eligibility criteria - we will not be able to consider your
funding request on this occasion.

A copy of the guidelines and an application form can be downloaded
from their website.

They envisage that the Board will make between 3 and 5 substantial
grants of between £40,000 and £80,000. Requests outside this range are
very unlikely to be considered.

Application Deadline: 11 May 2007 at 5pm.

If your application is short-listed, they will contact you to request
the submission of further information. They will also advise you if
there are any particular issues of concern. They will need to arrange
a time to visit your organisation to discuss the application, or to
conduct a telephone interview. Getting through to Stage Two is not a
guarantee that you will be funded.

Please note that all Assessment Visits and Telephone Interviews will
be taking place between Thursday 23rd May and Friday 1st June 2007.
