CACHE Introduction to Childminding

Course Description:
* Certificate in Childminding Practice Unit 1: Introducing
Childminding Practice (ICP).
* This training is seen as the main route to developing high quality
childminding services.
* This unit meets the statutory requirements for home-based
practitioners seeking childminding registration.

Course Content:
* Establishing a safe and healthy childcare environment
* Establishing routines for the childminding day
* Providing play and other activities for children
* Treating children with equal concern
* Helping children to settle in to your childminding setting
* Using positive methods for managing children's behaviour
* How to deal with child protection issues
* Introducing the importance of working in partnership with parents
* Starting a childminding business

Progression:
* You can use this evidence towards an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Children's
Care, Learning and Development.

Duration:
* Part-time basis, 13 hours in total for the unit.

This course does not require any formal qualifications but we do
require learners to sit a small test at interview stage.
