Painting & Decorating- An Introductory Course

A Foundation Construction Award in Decorative Occupations designed to
equip you with the necessary practical and theoretical skills needed
to pursue a career in painting and decorating. The course covers
preparation, filling, painting, wallpaper hanging and health and
safety. You will also gain a comprehensive knowledge of tools and
materials.

Painting & Decorating- Intermediate Course

Intermediate Construction Award in Decorative Occupations is designed
to prepare candidates for a career in the decorating industry. Trade
experience in decorative occupations or completion of the Foundation
Construction Award is a requirement for entry onto this course. The
course covers how to erect and dismantle access platforms, contribute
to the provision of efficient working practices, prepare surfaces for
decoration, apply paint materials by brush and roller, apply standard
wallpapers and non-complex surface areas, apply basic specialist paint
effects.
