Breaking the exclusion cycle: can the voluntary and community sector
help build a more equal society?

* NAVCA annual conference 2007
* 11-12 September 2007
* Keele University, Staffordshire

Conference chair: Polly Toynbee
Plenary speaker: Iain Duncan Smith

Tackling poverty and social exclusion and building strong, sustainable
communities are key motivating factors behind the work of the
voluntary and community sector both at regional and local level. This
conference will address the role of the local voluntary and community
sector in improving life for the most socially excluded members of our
society, and celebrate the positive impact that has already been made.

Attendees can choose their own agenda from the options available
including panel discussions, 'question time', workshops, case study
sessions, policy and project briefings and off-site visits.
