Preventing Violent Extremism Community Leadership Fund (inc Muslim
women) apply by 30 Sept 2008
This grant fund is intended to support work that will build the
capacity of individuals, organisations and communities to take the
lead on tackling violent extremist influences.
The funding will be focused on the following areas:
Capacity of organisations and communities;
Supporting Muslim young people;
Supporting Muslim women;
Capacity of Muslim faith leaders;
Local forums against extremism and Islamophobia.
Funding for the first four strands of work will be limited to projects
which have national reach/significance. Funding for the fifth strand
of work will go to projects which are delivered locally.
This fund will complement the much larger scale work being taken
forward by many local authorities.
There were two funding rounds and the final one is 30 September 2008.
You can apply for funding for up to three years for 2008-09, 2009-10
and 2010-2011. Any offers of funding will only be guaranteed until 31
March 2009. Offers for continued funding after this date will be
provisional.
All funding is limited to projects taking place in England.
