I am a legal trainer running low cost one day courses in Domestic
Violence and the Law in London. I would like to advertise my training
to the Women in London
subscribers.

As for groups I have trained before: it is voluntary organisations
working with vulnerable women, Women's Aid, those working in the
NHS/PCTs, educators, legal groups, counsellors, police and local
authorities.

ONE DAY INTENSIVE LEGAL TRAINING IN DOMESTIC VIOLENCE (FOR
NON-LAWYERS) TO BE HELD ON THE LAST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH COMMENCING
25th JULY 2008 (and also on 29 August; 26 Sept, 31 Oct, 28 Nov)

The Women's Freedom Centre is pleased and proud to announce its
opening in April 2008.

One day intensive courses in 'Domestic Violence and the Law' will run
on the last Friday of each month commencing 25th July 2008 from
10.00am - 4.30pm. Cost is £75 for the day (cheque in advance please).

This course will cover the following areas:
· Property rights in marriage and cohabitation
· Injunctions: non-molestation, occupation orders and their
enforcement
· Criminal law & effect of new DV, Crime and Victims Act 2004
· Homelessness & duties of local authorities to victims of DV
· Immigration: women with no recourse to public funds
