Third Sector Women - Mentors sought
Mentoring and Coaching Programme
TSW was established to shine the light on female role models across
the third sector and by connecting women provide opportunities for
role modelling and inspiration. We believe we can and should learn
from each other and support one another in our goals. As a result, we
aim to foster female talent at all levels in the sector and enable
women to pursue their career of choice. We are therefore pleased to
announce plans for a TSW mentoring and coaching programme.
We know many of our members are accredited coaches and others who are
keen to share their knowledge and experience to support colleagues. We
are inviting anyone interested in delivering this service to come
along to a quality assurance day on the 24th April 2008 at Breast
Cancer Care offices
The aim of the day is to establish the foundations for a TSW mentoring
and coaching service.
During the day we will:
. Agree standards of practice.
. Explore the potential range of practitioner styles/models.
. Clarify how the mentoring and coaching programme will operate.
. Develop coaching skills through coaching exercises and training.
. Establish a peer support group for practitioners.
In advance of the QA day, participants will be asked to provide:
a) two references from people who can comment on the participant's
mentoring/coaching skills;
b) for accredited practitioners we will ask to see qualification
literature;
c) a short description of the model or approach used when providing
mentoring/coaching support.
Follow-Up
As a result of the QA day, we will establish a register of approved
TSW mentors and coaches. This service will be launched to all TSW
members in May 2008. Members may choose to approach mentors and
coaches directly or access the TSW matching service.
Cost £125 + VAT
This fee covers costs of delivering the QA day, trainer, venue,
refreshments, plus a registration fee of £40.
