womenintechnology.co.uk and Microsoft would like to invite you to an
evening event on Tuesday 1st April at 6.30pm.
"Working Smarter, Not Harder" will include a key note speech from Dr
Suzanne Doyle-Morris, professional speaker, trainer and accredited
coach, two short presentations from Microsoft representatives about
how they work flexibly and a panel discussion on the evening's topic.
The event is kindly being hosted by Microsoft at their Cardinal Place
offices which are very close to Victoria Station in central London -
100 Victoria Street, London, SW1E 5JL.
Working Smarter, Not Harder - what is your perfect day?
In contemplating your answer, there is likely to be a small battle in
your head between work, rest and play. Work/Life Balance? is it just
another irritating piece of jargon or is the tightrope real and
dangerous?
Dr Suzanne Doyle-Morris will start the evening by challenging our
views and offering tips around our perceptions of our ability to
prioritise, delegate and to recognise what we are already doing right
and how that will make the tightrope of work/life balance seem much
wider.
Trisha Watson, Public Sector Group Marketing Manager at Microsoft and
Nickie Smith, Online Service Group Business Marketing Manager will
then give a short presentation about their current job roles and how
they work flexibly and in different Microsoft locations.
This will be followed by an interactive Q&A session with Suzanne
Doyle-Morris, Trisha Watson and Nickie Smith as well as Kevin
Cavanaugh, Senior HR Manager at Microsoft and Fleur Bothwick, a
Trustee of Working Families and Director of Diversity and
Inclusiveness at Ernst & Young.
The evening will finish with networking over drinks and canapés which
we hope you will be able to stay around for.
We do hope you would like to join us on Tuesday 1st April - the event
is free to attend and as we anticipate a high demand for places,
please sign up early to avoid disappointment - many thanks!
