Free Management Training for Women

- Do you need management training but lack the funds to pay for this
important investment?
- Are you a talented team leader or manager working your way up the
career ladder?
- Would a qualification give you more confidence to put yourself
forward?

ILM Level 3 - Award in First Line Management (6 Days)

The ILM Level 3 Award in First Line Management is designed for
owner-managers and serving or aspiring supervisors who have little or
no formal management training.

This course has 4 units, which we have chosen to respond to the
first-line managers' most immediate learning needs:
- Solving problems and making decisions
- Organising and delegating
- Managing performance
- Influencing others at work

There will be plenty of time for tutorial support and for the business
and employment skills sessions:
- Assertiveness
- Networking
- Presenting a Professional Image

The next courses are scheduled for:
12, 13 & 22 May and 6, 9 & 13 June 2008
16, 20, 23 & 30 June and 7 & 14 July 2008

With the financial support of the London Development Agency (LDA): The
Mayor's Agency for Business and Jobs, we are offering 150 women the
opportunity to develop their skills and gain a recognised management
qualification - completely free of charge. Call Us Now for More
Details!

The training will lead to an Institute of Leadership and Management
qualification and will also include sessions aimed specifically at
developing business and employment skills. Depending on your needs and
the job you are currently doing, you will be offered either 4 or 6
days of training, if you meet our criteria to take the course.
Funding for Business Skills Training

The market for ILM qualifications is very lively: unfunded places on
open courses generally cost around £1,295 for ILM Level 2 and £1,995
for ILM Level 3. Major employers are prepared to pay for these
qualifications because they deliver such great skills and confidence.

This project brings these highly valued learning programmes to
companies and individuals who may not otherwise have access to them.
We are able to offer these courses free of charge thanks to the
support of the LDA: The Mayor's Agency for Business and Jobs.

Funding is available only for women who meet the project's stringent
eligibility criteria:
- You must be self employed or employed by an organisation of fewer
than 250 employees
- If you are employed, your employer cannot be a public sector
institution
- You must be a woman
- You must not already have a Level 2 qualification
- You must live and/or work within one of the following London
boroughs: Barnet, Brent, Camden, Croydon, Ealing, Enfield, Hackney,
Haringey, Harrow, Islington, Lambeth, Lewisham, Redbridge, Richmond,
Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, and Westminster.
Exceptionally, we may accept a few candidates from other London
boroughs. All candidates must live and/or work in London.

If you don't meet the funding criteria, but would still like to
attend, please contact us so we can explore options to enable you to
participate.
