Joanies Trust

The Joanies Trust know there is an enormous need and that their
resources are limited. To be as effective as possible they will only
consider grants for applications that cover projects in the following
area:

Supporting Young People - They welcome applications from organisations
working with young people aged 11 to 25. Applications will benefit by
showing how a project supports this particular age group. They want to
support projects that offer intensive support as well as those that
promote preventative work, and specially those that are designed to
lead to individual development through integration, work opportunities
or accreditation.

They are looking for excellence, innovation and imagination. They will
look for strong evidence of how closely applicants consult young
people in developing their service, and for any community involvement
or local financial support. Please make sure the age range your
project will benefit is very clear.

They support about thirty charities a year with average grants of
£1000, and they receive ten times the number of applications they can
support. Those that are succinct and that give direct answers to the
questions in the application form stand a greater chance of success.
They will not commit ourselves to awarding grants to an organisation
for more than one year, though you are welcome to reapply 12 months
after the first application.

They will only fund organisations that are registered charities.

They will give grants for running costs, both project and core costs,
and capital costs.

Deadline: 30th April 2009. All applicants will be informed of the
trustees' decision.
