The Yapp Charitable Trust
The Yapp Charitable Trust make grants to small registered charities to sustain
their existing work with:
* elderly people
* children and young people aged 5 - 25
* people with disabilities or mental health problems
* people trying to overcome life-limiting problems of a social, rather than
medical, origin - such as addiction, relationship difficulties, abuse, a history
of offending
They also make grants to sustain small registered charities' existing work in
the fields of:
* education and learning (with a particular interest in people who are
educationally disadvantaged, whether adults or children)
They are not able to fund work which does not come into one of the above
categories
They give grants for running costs and salaries for up to three years. Grants
are normally for a maximum of £3,000 per year.
Most of their grants are for more than one year because they give priority to
ongoing needs.
Like most other funders they have many more applications than they can fund.
They find they are able to give a grant to only about 1 in 8 of the applications
they receive. In 2009 they expect to give £300,000 in about 50 grants.
Please use their eligibilty checker online before applying. Further help and
their application form are on Website: http://www.yappcharitabletrust.org.uk
And if you are not sure whether to apply to the Yapp Charitable Trust or you are
having trouble with part of the application form please contact the
administrator, Margaret Thompson, who will be happy to advise.
