Mary Seacole Leadership Awards
One for staff of organisations working in health fields.
The Mary Seacole Leadership Awards are worth £12,500 each and provide
the opportunity to:
* undertake a specific health care project enhance effective
leadership and communication skills.Jointly funded by the Department
of Health and NHS Employers the awards provide opportunities for
nurses, midwives or health visitors in England in leadership positions
to undertake a project, or other educational/development activity, to
enhance patient/client-focused care. The professional organisations
named above, the Department of Health and NHS Employers work closely
together to ensure successful candidates are fully supported during
their scholarship year.
The Mary Seacole Development Awards are worth £6,250 each and provide
the opportunity to:
* undertake a project, or other educational/development activity, that
benefits the health needs of people from Black and minority ethnic
communities
* develop leadership skills.
Jointly funded by the Department of Health and NHS Employers the
awards provide opportunities for nurses, midwives or health visitors
in England to undertake a project, or other educational/development
activity, to enhance patient/client-focused care. The professional
organisations named below, the Department of Health and NHS Employers
work closely together to ensure successful candidates are fully
supported during their scholarship year.

running a series of workshops around England. Potential applicants
are encourage to attend. For details please see the attached workshop
programme.
