Subject: PROGRESS funding
Dear Colleague,
I'm writing to let you know that the European Commission has recently announced
that PROGRESS funding is available to support awareness-raising activities in
support of the European Community's anti-discrimination agenda. The UK's
applications will be considered by the Government Equalities Office.
The amount of funding available from the European Commission to support
organisations in the UK is 300,000 euros which can be used to support up to two
projects. Proposals of all sizes are welcome for consideration by the UK; we
may choose to nominate two proposals as the arrangements allow.
Activities must start in late 2010, and organisations can only apply for 80% of
total eligible costs to be financed. The remainder of the costs are to be found
from other sources.
Further information is available on the GEO website here:
http://www.equalities.gov.uk/international/progress_funding.aspx
Applications must be submitted to GEO by 3pm on Tuesday 4 May 2010.
Best wishes,
Jackie
