Subject: Free training for voluntary sector organisations on managing pregnant
women and new parents at work
We are piloting our new training course, Good practice in managing pregnant
women and new parents at work, on Friday April 23 and have a few places
available. These are free places. The course for voluntary sector
trustees, managers, union reps and staff reps who would like to know more
about best practice and an employer's legal obligations in managing staff
who are pregnant or have family responsibilities. It will cover maternity
leave and pay, leave and pay for fathers and partners, health and safety
during pregnancy, return to work after taking leave, flexible working, and
many other aspects of managing staff who are pregnant or new parents. We
plan to deliver the course as part of our training programme later in the
year.
