Bank of America - Neighborhood Builders Program
Two outstanding charitable organisations in 45 markets benefit from the
Neighbourhood Builders Programme. Since its inception in 2004, Neighbourhood
Builders has helped 402 nonprofits with operating support and rigorous
leadership training. The Neighbourhood Builders Programme was launched in London
in 2007.
Neighbourhood Builders recipients:
* Are based in London and provide support to Londoners (national charities are
eligible to apply)
* Are registered charities with the Charities Commission of England and Wales
* Are focused on local Neighbourhood priorities
* Receive £110,000 in general operating support - £55,000 annually for 2 years
They also benefit from specially designed leadership development Programmes for
the Chief Executive and an Emerging Leader
The neighbourhood priorities for London are as follows:
Community Development
* Community and Social Business Development
* Increasing local enterprise skills in the community
* NGO Capacity Building
* Increasing organizational effectiveness and management and leadership
excellence within charitable organizations
Education
* Financial Capability
* Workforce Development and Life Skills
* Environmental awareness and education
Arts and Culture
* Access to the arts, culture and media for underserved communities
* Increasing access to and appreciation of arts, culture and media through
education, outreach and engagement
The Neighbourhood Builders application consists of three main sections, each of
which must be completed for your proposal to be considered.
PLEASE NOTE: Unlike our other online applications, the Neighbourhood Builders
application does not ask for a project title or a specific request amount. All
requests are for £110,000 in grant funding for operational support - £55,000
annually over two years as described on the programme home page.
Once completed, all applications are immediately submitted to the Bank of
America Charitable Foundation. Deadline for application is June 30, 2010.
