Help a London Child - 3rd June and 3rd November 2010

Help a London Child aims to give opportunities to the Capital's children and
young people who experience poverty and disadvantage; have/are experiencing
abuse, neglect, homelessness, violence or crime; or who have an illness or
disability.

If your charity or voluntary group works with children and young people fitting
into one or more of the categories in our funder statement above, then please do
consider requesting funding in 2010. Please note that statutory organisations
such as schools, local authorities and hospitals cannot apply to Help a London
Child.

When applying for a grant, groups can request a maximum of £3,000. In 2009's 1st
Round the average award was just under £2,000.

Each year there are two funding rounds, and organisations may only submit one
application to HALC per year, to either the 1st or 2nd deadline.

In 2010 there are 2 closing dates:

Thursday 3rd June - requesting funding for on-going, new and one-off projects
starting from November 2010 and not before.

Wednesday 3rd November - requesting funding for on-going, new and one-off
projects starting from April 2011 and not before.

You can request a Word version by completing the form via the link below, and we
'll e-mail you our guidelines and application form.

Alternatively you can request a form by post - please send in an A4 sae (61p
stamp) to: Help a London Child 2010 Applications, 95.8 Capital FM, 30 Leicester
Square, London, WC2H 7LA.

It is essential that all potential applicants fully read our Guidelines . We
encourage groups to contact us before submitting an application to Help a London
Child, if they have any queries on our guidelines and/or would like to discuss a
project idea. Please treat every application as your first, even if you've been
successful before, providing as much detail as possible and every application is
considered on its own merits.
