<H3 align=center>The Way Forward Consultation Event: <BR>A Call For Action To
End Violence Against Women <o:p></o:p></H3>
<P>On the 21 April The Mayor launched his draft violence against women strategy
for London, setting out his vision for a programme of action to tackle violence
against women (please see attached). <BR><BR>The Child and Woman Abuse Studies
Unit were commissioned by the GLA to develop the Mayor's draft strategy. End
Violence Against Women is supporting this by consulting with women's
organisations in <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City
w:st="on">London</st1:City></st1:place> who work on violence against women about
what the strategy should look like. <BR><BR>After our initial VCS consultation
held in January, we warmly invite you to participate in a second follow-up event
on <B>Friday 3</B> <B>July</B>. This will be a great opportunity to contribute
to the final strategy's development and discuss with voluntary sector
organisations how we can effectively tackle and prevent all forms of VAW across
<st1:place w:st="on"><st1:City w:st="on">London</st1:City></st1:place>.
